When you create a quote in PaintWizz, the first step is to select the vehicle’s manufacturer and model. Once you’ve made your selection, PaintWizz loads graphical representations of that vehicle to help you identify and select the correct parts for repair.
Why Generic Images Are Used
Due to the vast number of vehicle models on the market, PaintWizz does not provide model-specific images for every vehicle. Instead, we use a set of generic images representing various body types, including:
- Sedan
- Coupé
- 3-Door Hatchback
- 5-Door Hatchback
- SUV
- Crossover
- Estate
- Convertible
- Single Cab
- Double Cab
- Panel Van
- MPV
- Pickup Truck
Each of these body types has a corresponding set of images, so you may see the same images used across different models. For instance, the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupé from 2014 shares its graphical representation with the Volvo V60.
Ensuring Accuracy with Generic Visuals
If the images for your selected model seem to differ from the actual vehicle, there’s no need to worry. PaintWizz is designed to ensure accuracy by matching the correct dimensions and panel sizes specific to the model you selected. Although the visuals may not look identical to your vehicle, PaintWizz provides accurate repair costs based on model-specific panel sizing.
This system allows PaintWizz to offer reliable repair estimates, even when generic images are used, ensuring that you’re always covered with the correct dimensions and cost estimates.
